6B47 Germany hands over the Holiday Inn Express in Wuppertal’s city center to the new hotel operator. GS Star GmbH signed a 25-year lease for the hotel.
After 19 months of construction, the 3-star Holiday Inn Express will open with its 164 rooms at Wall 39. Leaseholder is GS Star GmbH in Augsburg, who signed a 25-year lease with an option for an additional 5 years. GS Star GmbH GmbH is an experienced and expanding hotel operator with focus on 2- to 4-star hotels, and currently operates a total of 21 hotels in Germany and Austria with its sister company, Primestar Hospitality. The 755m² ground floor space will be used commercially. Kai-Uwe Ludwig, CEO of 6B47 Germany GmbH, says: "With the transfer of the hotel to GS Star GmbH, we have reached the central milestone in our project development. We are pleased to make this important contribution to the development of the city center in Wuppertal and to sustainably enhance the location with a revitalization of this area."
6B47 Germany’s project development in Wuppertal is embedded in a comprehensive district development plan and is a continuation of the Döppersberg area restructuring. The inner city and the main train station will be remerged aboveground and directly connected to the pedestrian zone.
