Towards the end of 2018, 6B47 was already able to contribute to a new and modern living quarter, by buying the former Metro area in the Lower Austrian capital St. Pölten. The area of 21,000 m² in the Viehofen district is divided into three construction areas and phases. The goal: the construction of affordable and privately financed one-to-four-bedroom apartments, complemented by spacious open areas and playgrounds. Construction for the first section is starting in autumn 2020.
‘We placed particular emphasis on social sustainability and flexibility when planning and developing this project. This approach permits us to create structures that can be adapted over many life stages but also allows us to make amendments to the changing needs in the future. The removal of sealed areas, as well as energetically sustainable development, are in line with future-oriented planning’, explains Silvia Wustinger-Renezeder, Managing Director of the 6B47 Wohnbauträger GmbH.
The project stands out with its attractive location as well as short distances to the environment. Furthermore, the connection to public transport as well as private transport is excellent. ‘From the beginning, we were convinced of the areas potential’, says Wustinger-Renezeder.
